Heads up BUMC! Bishop Ough is challenging Minnesota United Methodists
to prepare a record number of Cleaning Buckets by annual
conference session (May 29-31.) This is the KIT emphasis for the Love
Offering. In 2012, the UMCOR Relief Supply Network shipped more than $6
million worth of goods & materials to people in need worldwide. A list
of supplies can be picked up at the Welcome Desk or at
June, Family Fellowship is sponsoring a Pot Luck Picnic (bring a dish to
share and beverages; grilled meat will be provided as well as utensils,
plates and cups). We will be playing softball, relay games, and a
scavenger hunt. Please join us

Saturday, June 15th from 3:00-7:00PM..This event is $5/Individual or

Farmers Market is coming back to Brooklyn on Thursdays this

YOUR CALENDAR! Spring will be here! Once again the Brooklyn Big Band is
sponsoring an Ice Cream Social this Father's Day, Sunday, June
16th at 10:30AM on the White House patio and parking lot. Ice Cream
Sundaes with fresh strawberries and toppings. A free will offering will
be taken with the funds used for worship and music group supplies.
Center's Relay for Life will be July 12th and 13th at Brooklyn
Center High School. Stay tuned for more information on this event and
UM Day at the Twins – Thursday, August 15th at 7:10pm vs. the
Chicago White Sox. Portions of ticket sales will go to support Imagine
No Malaria. We will get group tickets on the Home Run Porch for $17 but
you can purchase Skyline Deck tickets for $31 on your own. Sign up & pay
in the church office by June 1st. Tickets will be purchased for the
group after June 1st. Carpooling to the game will be an option.
Metro Paint-a-Thon paints homes annually the first week of
August. They are looking for homes to paint this year and your home may
qualify. To find out more information, please pick up an application in
the church office.
A Mission Team will be going to Ganta,
Liberia in February 2014. Their probable task will be to help construct a district
high school for academic and vocational education. For more information
