"Oh
For A Thousand Tongues To Sing." Ok, so maybe not that many
people were here, but those that were here on Sunday, April 18, 2004
enjoyed singing many old hymns. Leading us in singing were Gary and Jean
Blosberg.
Tom
Brennan, a retired Methodist minister, has researched the life and times
of a Circuit Riding Preacher and came dressed in period clothing. He
told us that the 3 most important things necessary to becoming a Circuit
Rider were, experience with God, being able to preach, and having a
horse. Circuit Riders were very important in Methodism spreading out
west. People would say "I moved away from Pennsylvania to get
away from you people!"

The
North Hennepin Community College Choir, directed by our own Karla Stroman
was on hand with two beautiful hymns, "He Never Failed Me Yet",
and "Stay With Us".
