Robert
Bailey
1962-84
Rev. Robert Bailey was a
northeast Minneapolis native, who led several efforts at
Brooklyn. During his tenure, Bob oversaw the construction of the
new sanctuary
building, was one of three clergy to start CEAP (the Community
Emergency Assistance Program), and led many ecumenical and
outreach programs. In 1984, he left BUMC to become the district
superintendent for the west metro area. In 1986 he died of a brain
tumor in his home in Brooklyn Park.
