Katie arrived in September of 1980 to become the minister in charge of youth and young adults.  Before joining Brooklyn, she spent 3 months in Belfast, Ireland on a peace internship where she worked with children and youth in a drop in center. She also had a sister living in Jerusalem which peaked her interest in peace.
