Trunk or Treat is coming back on Saturday, October 25 from 2:00-4:00 pm, BUMC will host its 2nd annual Trunk or Treat in the parking lot across from the church.  Trunk or Treat is where members/attenders of the church park their cars in the parking lot and hand out candy to children who come dressed up in their Halloween outfits.  (You can dress up too and decorate your car!) We also have Halloween-oriented games for the children to play.

The UMW Bazaar will be on Saturday, November 1th.†Once again we will have the "Clothes Closet.Ē Gently used and clean clothes and jewelry will be sold to profit our Mission Giving.†Bring your donations to the church on Sunday, October 26th-31th.†Put your donations downstairs by the elevator. All sizes are accepted!†

On Veteranís Sunday, November 9th, we would like to recognize our BUMC Vets. Please drop off in the office or email to Mindy (admin@bumc.org) a picture of yourself in your uniform and a brief mention of the years you served, the name of the war (if any), and what division. If you donít have a picture of yourself in your uniform, any picture of yourself will work. Please submit by Oct. 28th. If you submitted something last year that will be used this year unless you submit something different.

This year's Gala, A Homegrown Christmas, is scheduled for Sunday, December 7th. This year our many music and worship groups will be presenting their music and dance. The Silent Auction begins at 2:00 pm and the concert begins at 3:00 pm. The work to find items for the silent auction begins now and we need donations such as cabin stays, hotel and restaurant gift cards, retail gift cards, new or like new gift items, antiques, musical instruments, etc. We would also like to invite new members to join the planning committee. WE HAVE FUN and make a big dent in the general fund for the church. For more information on the Gala Committee click here or to volunteer, contact the Gala Committee via email.

Do you have an event that we should know about? Let us know or we can't help!

From the UMCOR site: As the Ebola virus spreads in Sierra Leone, Guinea and Liberia, The United Methodist Church continues to be present and respond through West African United Methodist church leaders and regional health boards, denominational health facilities, missionaries, and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), the churchís humanitarian aid and health unit. Click here to read the entire article and for additional information check here and here. If you wish to contribute to this effort, write a check to BUMC and note on the bottom of the check that it should go to UMCOR International Disaster Response Advance #982450. If you would prefer to donate items rather than money, a list can be found in the office.

Have you ever misplaced your Circuit Rider? Check out the Circuit Rider page! The November  issue is now posted. And while your there, why not tell us that you would rather pick up the Circuit Rider online, rather than having it mailed to your home.

Do you have a joy or concern? Prayer is a powerful tool for expressing your joys and concerns. We have Pastors and Lay people who pray daily. Tell us what you would like us to include in our prayers by clicking on the praying hands.
