The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Brooklyn Center will be
held at Brooklyn Center High School on July 13th & 14th, 2012. This inspiring
event unites the entire community in celebrating those who have had cancer,
remembering loved ones lost, and providing an opportunity to fight back against
the disease. Relay For Life supports the Society's mission to save lives by
helping people stay well, by helping people get well, by finding cures and by
fighting back. Brooklyn UMC Relay's team is the "Brooklyn Breeze". There will be
different fundraising events from now until the Relay in July. We will start
selling Luminary bags for $10 next month. These will be displayed at the relay.
Also, Malmborg's and Scoreboard Pizza of Brooklyn Center will be offering a
portion of the proceeds of your purchase to be designated for the "Brooklyn
Breeze" relay team. If you would like to be a part of this team please sign up
with either Peggy Strickland or Ada Beh.

The
Mega Sale is coming! Please keep the sale in mind as you find things
that you no longer need. Let friends know that we will accept good clean
clothing, furniture, working appliances, cars, boats, campers and power
tools. The White House Breezeway is open 24 hours a day 7 days a week to
drop items off. If you are able to box by categories and label them, it
helps the sorters a lot. If you are dropping off Furniture or need it
picked up, please call the church office (763) 561-1684.
