Contact: Laurene Rick 763-533-4306
The reading program encourages us to expand our
understanding and participation of God's mission; to
increase sensitivity and explore today's issues;
understanding scriptures; encourage self-knowledge; and
learn of involvement in local and global Christian
missions.
A shelf in the Church library is specifically devoted to
the UMW reading program. All the books are labeled
with their category - Education for Mission; Social
Action; Nurturing for Community; and Spiritual
Growth. Books from previous years can also be
included in this year's requirements. Several plans
are available so you can read as few as 4 books or as many
as 20, whatever your schedule allows. Reports are due each
August to receive a certificate.
