Brooklyn United Methodist Youth
For the past 150 years Brooklyn United Methodist Church has had a history of exceptional ministry with youth! We believe that youth are not only the future of the church, but are the church here and now. We offer a wide range of ministries that seek to nurture a strong faith foundation, build Christian friendships, and provide a safe encouraging place for youth of all ages. Our dedicated adult youth leaders welcome all youth right where they are and serve as beautiful examples of Christ-centered relationships for them. Our Pastor, Children’s Director, Youth Director, Youth & Family Team and numerous adult leaders are here to help parents in fulfilling their role as their youth’s primary faith mentor(s). We are not only here for youth, we are here for their families. Our Faith Stepping Stone Ministry provides discussions, resources, and opportunities for parents & youth to grow in faith every day, in every home. We are shaped by the gifts of our diversity and compassion as we walk in faith with one another. We invite you to come check us out and we look forward to knowing you too by name!
Cross Training
Cross Training is a caring, fun and wonderful group of youth (7-12 grade) who like to get together once a week to hang out, ask questions, worship, play games, and discover together what it means to be loved by God. Cross Training from time to time hits the road by attending special events, retreats, and field trips throughout the year. We meet during the school year Sundays, from 7pm-8:30 pm in the Fellowship Hall through May 22. May 22 we will be hosting a BUMY Celebration starting at 7 pm - youth & their families are invited!
Confirmation Ministry
Confirmation for youth (7-10 grade) will resume in September. Registration will kick-off Sunday, August 7. A Parent Informational Meeting for all confirmation families will be Thursday, August 25 at 6:30 pm. For more information contact Anne Jackson, Director of Youth Ministries.
