This Sunday, November 23rd, we joyfully conclude our Brave Ministry series by turning our attention to the one who makes all bravery possible: Christ the King.
In preparation for the upcoming Thanksgiving season and the start of Advent, Pastor Doe will lead us through the majestic and powerful passage of Colossians 1:11-20. This Scripture paints a massive picture of Jesus Christ, not just as a historical figure, but as the cosmic head of all creation and the church.
We will explore three breathtaking truths about the Kingship of Jesus:
King Over Creation: Jesus is the one "in whom all things hold together" (v. 17). He is the firstborn of all creation, the ultimate Lord over the universe, bringing unity and order to a chaotic world.
King Over Conflict: Christ is the one who "makes peace by the blood of his cross" (v. 20). His kingship is not marked by earthly conquest, but by radical reconciliation, redeeming and restoring everything—including us—back to God.
King Over the Church: He is the "head of the body, the church" (v. 18). Because Christ has supremacy in all things, we are empowered to live our lives—our brave ministry—under the authority of the one who secured our redemption.
The King who is Lord over the cosmos is also the King who reigns in your heart. Join us to worship the one who is worthy of all praise!
