CHILDREN & FAMILY

At Brooklyn UMC, our Children and Family Ministries are here to support families on their spiritual journeys.

We provide a welcoming and inclusive community where kids and parents can grow in their faith together

through our Sunday morning programs, special events, and worship services.

CHILDREN

The heart of children's ministry at our church is to teach kids about who God is and how His word applies to their lives in creative and memorable ways. Through engaging teaching, supportive environments, and close-knit small group classes, we guide kids towards a better understanding of what it means to have a real relationship with God. We want kids to know that the Bible is full of interesting stories that matter in their lives today, that fun and games are allowed at church, that worship can be full of loud music and silly dancing, and that there are adults in the church who truly want to love and lead them closer to Jesus. In other words, we want them to know that where God is, life is a lot more fun!

YOUTH

Our Youth Group is a vibrant and growing community where teens from our church and the wider neighborhood connect, grow, and serve. Led by our Youth Director, Joe Zaweia, we believe in empowering our youth to use their God-given gifts and make a difference.

Our youth:

Lead worship services, blessing our congregation with song, scripture, and dance.
Attend enriching cultural events
Participate in mission and service projects

Youth Gatherings are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month from 5-7 pm. These gatherings are a wonderful opportunity for youth to fellowship, engage in Bible Study, enjoy diverse cultural foods, and play a variety of games. Sharing a meal together makes our time even more special, and we extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous members who provide meals or contribute financially to purchase food. BIBLE BELLES

The Bible Belles are our dedicated dance ministers who glorify God through movement and add a special touch to our worship services and programs. This ministry is open to dancers ages 8 and up, who are passionate about expressing their faith through dance.

The Bible Belles typically rehearse on Sundays at 11:45 AM, especially as they prepare for upcoming church programs and events. If you're interested in joining this vibrant ministry, please reach out to JoJoe Reeves or the church office.
